Dio e l’aleph

 

Dio è un avventura per l’uomo: un corridoio lungo, un tunnel buio del tipo immaginabile da Borges e alla fine un punto luce, un aleph. A questo aveva pensato Dante nel canto XXXIII del Paradiso, specialmente 109-111:

 
Non perché più ch’un semplice sembiante
fosse nel vivo lume ch’io mirava,
che tal è sempre qual s’era davante,
…

God and the aleph

God is an adventure for the Faith stumbling man: a long corridor, a dark tunnel type imaginable by Jorge L. Borges and in the end a light, an aleph. To this refers Dante in Canto XXXIII of Paradise, especially 109-111 (translation by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow):

 
Not because more than one unmingled semblance
was in the living light on which I looked,
for it is always what it was before
