Baratto e moneta
Il baratto era una cosa seria: io ti do un coniglio per due piccioni. Poi venne la moneta: pezzi di carta incassati da uno che vende un coniglio e li riversa a un altro soggetto che ha due piccioni.. E qual è il guadagno del tipografo che stampa i foglietti? Lo chiamano “signoraggio”. Ma si è mai visto un signore senza servi?
Barter and money
The barter was a serious thing: I give you a rabbit for two pigeons. After the money succeeded: paper pieces cashed by people that sells a rabbit and gives them to another one that has two pigeons. And where is the profit of the printer who prints banknotes? They call “seigniorage”. But have you never seen a lord deprived of his slaves?
