Meraviglia e razionalità
La meraviglia non è una reazione infantile, ma è ciò che differenzia l’uomo dall’animale, perché racchiude in sé la capacità di distinguere il bello dal banale conosciuto, il buono dal cattivo, il vero dal falso, il nuovo dal radicato.
Non capisco lo scettico integrale incapace di stupore, perché si incupisce senza apprezzare ciò che gli sta intorno.
C’è qualcosa di razionale nella capacità di meravigliarsi, che agli animali è precluso, perché agiscono per impulso di istinto.
Meraviglia è constatazione che esiste qualcosa di nuovo che emerge. La scienza senza lo stimolo iniziale della meraviglia non progredisce.
Meraviglia è dimostrazione di libertà.
Marvel and rationality
The wonder is not a childish reaction, but it is what differentiates man from animal, because it contains within itself the ability to distinguish the beautiful from the banal known, the good from the bad, the true from the false, the new from the old.
I do not understand the skeptic unable of stupor, because he darkens without appreciating what is around him.
There is something rational in the ability to wonder, that the animals are precluded because they act by impulse of instinct.
The marvel is the realization that there is something new emerging. Science without the initial stimulus of wonder does not progress.
Marvel is demonstration of freedom.
